EDA DANCE PROJECT- Summer Dance Intensive 
3 levels (Ages 9-18) 

BRITTNEY ANDERSON


Brittney began her dance training in Calgary Alberta. Her training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Modern has taken her around the world performing with The Calgary Dance Express. In 2003 Brittney represented Canada in both Jazz and Tap at the Worlds in Riesa, Germany. She has also had the pleasure to be part of the hugely successful Tap Company M.A.D.D. Rhythms. In 2006 she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her love of dance and further her training, while attending classes at Millennium Dance Complex and The Edge. Brittney was a part of Sara Dolan's contemporary company O2 Dance. She performed with O2 for 2 years, performing in they’re sold out show; I.M The Seasons Of Love.

She has also danced for musical artists Michale Fitzgerald, Bif Naked, Narai Dawn, Jess Cullen and many more. Brittney currently resides in Calgary teaching workshops and masterclasses  for various studios. She is also sought out as a choreographer, guest teacher, and adjudicator throughout Alberta and British Columbia. Her recent performances as a principal dancer include: Lovers of Marley, Lovers of Queen and Sweet Moves.

Brittney has had a busy year dancing in videos for musical artist Narai Dawn. She danced in the extremely successful fundraiser for St. Paul's mental health ward "Brilliant".  As well as performed in the sold out show run of Dances for a Small Stage 35 ~ Valentines Edition, and more recently choreographed and performed a piece for the university of Calgary’s Arch Awards as well as a music video for Alberta's own Gord Bamford.


LAURIE CAHOON ALSTON

​Originally from Edmonton, Laurie’s career in dance has taken her around the world as a performer, adjudicator, award-winning choreographer, convention teacher, and instructor. She has been adjudicating events across Canada and the USA for the past 19 years.

​She has trained at such renowned schools as the Royal Winnipeg Ballet; where she also taught from 2005-2012, Randolph’s and Metro Movement in Toronto, The Banff School of Fine Arts, Broadway Dance Center (N.Y. and Tokyo) and EDGE, LA.

She holds her Advanced II certificate with the Royal Academy of Dance and performed professionally with Ballet North. Performances with Ballet North included a tour of Mainland China as a Principal dancer. Laurie also worked at length as a lead singer and dancer in Japan at Tokyo Disneyland, playing such fun-loving characters as Belle, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. She has also enjoyed working in the Cruise-ship industry.

Industrial credits include Calvin Klein, Lancome, Tommy Hilfiger, the grand opening of Casino Niagara, and Club Firestone. Live performances and TV credits include Berenstein Bears Christmas Show with Paramount Pictures, Legends Alive, Chiropractic Association of Alberta, and Cool FM Radio. She appeared as a guest singer on Day By Day and was co-choreographer of Dean Gunnarson's Halloween special. Recently she had the pleasure of being choreographer and dancer in a commercial and advertisement for the Physiotherapy Association of Alberta, called "Born to Move" which can be found on youtube. A great honor was being invited to audition for Cirque du Soleil and be added to their bank of potential performers.

​Laurie is currently teaching at the Edmonton School of Ballet in the Vimy daytime professional program. She has recently become acrobatic arts certified. Many of Laurie’s past students are enjoying careers in dance and she couldn’t be happier to see them share their love of the arts. She truly enjoys meeting and teaching young dancers who continue to inspire her with their determination and love of dance

KRISTA SOLESKI 


Krista has been teaching for well over a decade now and has received many awards for her choreography over the years.


She received her Diploma in dance from Grant MacEwan University in 2002 and has also completed the Edmonton School of Ballet Teacher Training Program. Krista is a qualified member of the Cecchetti Society Of Canada holding her Associate Diploma in the Cecchetti Method of Ballet. She is also trained in various styles of dance including jazz, tap, lyrical, modern and ballet.  Krista loves teaching dancers of all ages and enjoys watching the growth in her students every class.
